After her owner died, a blind cat was left alone to face a cruel fate. The late owner’s family, not wanting to care for a cat with a unique look, decided on the worst option: euthanasia.
Nushi isn’t like other cats; she has a rare eye condition that makes her nearly blind and gives her large, bluish eyes.
Her unusual appearance might have made people think she was very sick or even linked to magic, which could be why the owner’s family didn’t want her.
As the family didn’t want to look after her, it looked like Nushi might have a sad ending. But then, something amazing happened—Nushi was saved just in time!
A kind person came forward to rescue Nushi and give her another chance. Sophya Berry learned about Nushi from a friend and decided right away to adopt the blind kitty.
Without being bothered by Nushi’s unique look, Sophya immediately adored her. She was determined to give Nushi everything she needed, so she brought her home and introduced her to the rest of the family.
After a tough period of not knowing what would happen and feeling scared, Nushi found a new, happy life in her loving new home.
Now surrounded by loving family members who adore her, Nushi lives life to the fullest. She loves being with people, especially sitting in her parents’ laps, where she’s happiest.
Since joining the family, Nushi also gained eight furry siblings. When she’s feeling playful, she enjoys chasing the other cats and bouncing around the house.
“Nushi’s eye condition: There are no signs that she feels any pain. She can see light and shadows, navigate, climb, and run! She enjoys bright light, her eyes are not swollen or watery, and she doesn’t rub them.”
And remember, to find beauty in everyone, we must accept and love them just as they are!
