The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is taking care of a cat they call Bart the Miracle Cat. Bart was hit by a car, then buried by his owner because they thought he was dead.
Five days later, Bart dug himself out of the ground and showed up in a neighbor’s yard. He was weak, thirsty, and needed help.
The owner couldn’t afford vet care, so Bart was taken to the Animal Health Center. He has a broken jaw, wounds on his face, and needed his eye removed.
Bart had surgery on Tuesday to fix his jaw and remove his eye. He’s doing well and resting.
People are donating money to help with Bart’s care through a GoFundMe page. So far, they’ve raised $3,598.
