A kitten who survived a bad car crash despite getting hurt badly is now bringing joy to a cat center in Norfolk.

Augustus, a three-month-old kitten, got hurt badly in a car crash on a busy road in Norfolk. He had a broken jaw, a broken tail, and his front leg was so hurt it had to be removed. The driver who hit him took him to the vet right away.

After his first surgeries, Augustus went to Cats Protection’s Downham Market Adoption Centre. The people there are amazed by how well he’s recovering. Lindsay Tempest, who takes care of him, has been looking after him since she took him home for constant care.

She said, “He’s such a sweetheart. He came home with me the first night because I didn’t want him to be alone overnight, and it’s easy to love him. Despite everything he’s been through in his short life, he’s a lively little cat. Being around Augustus is always exciting.”

“He likes to talk to you and let you know how he feels. Sometimes he thinks he should get more meat instead of medicine. He can be a bit demanding when he wants attention or to play, but we’re gentle with him because he’s still not used to cuddling.”

Augustus will stay at the shelter until he’s ready to be adopted by someone through Cats Protection. Even though he has three legs now, he can still have a happy life. Plus, because he’s still young, he’ll get used to things quickly.
