Meet Conejo, a cute kitty who shows that sometimes cats pick us, not the other way around.
His special journey not only changed his life but also made a big difference in the life of his chosen
person, Tania.
One day, when Tania was shopping, she saw a cat with no tail outside the supermarket near her home.
Being a kind person, she couldn’t resist giving this stray kitty a gentle pat.
Little did she know that this would lead to a lifelong bond.
But Conejo didn’t want just a quick hug from Tania. He bravely followed her into the supermarket. What happened next completely surprised Tania.
This clever kitty wasted no time and hurriedly made his way to the cat food aisle, using his paw to point out his preferred choice.
That clever move immediately made Tania fall in love with Conejo.
Right then and there, she decided to bring Conejo into her life and home.
Tania decided to name him Conejo, which means “rabbit” in Spanish. She thought it was a good name for a cat without a tail.
Then Tania saw that he had many wounds all over his body.
She had no idea if these injuries were the result of battles with other animals or the unfortunate actions of someone who had harmed him.
Luckily, Conejo’s injuries weren’t too bad. With some medical help, he started getting better and saying goodbye to his life on the streets.
As the days passed, Conejo’s transformation was nothing short of remarkable.
His appearance soon changed from a battered street cat into a handsome and dignified feline.
When you see Conejo today, it’s hard to believe he used to wander the streets, trying to find food and a place to stay.
Because of Tania’s constant care and love, he’s doing really well now. He feels like he’s part of a loving family and is finally getting the happiness he deserves.
Tania reflects: “We didn’t have any animals, but I think he taught us a great lesson that we must show respect, love, and empathy towards other beings.”
She knows that in turn he played a pivotal role in helping her overcome the depths of depression.
With his calming presence and unconditional love, Conejo has been a source of solace and healing for Tania.
Tania says Conejo is kind, gentle, loving, polite, and very smart. He’s like the perfect cat friend.
The day Conejo picked Tania and went with her into the supermarket changed both their lives.
For Conejo, it was when he finally found the caring family and cozy home he always wanted.
“Wherever I go, he’s with me. He’s so kind, gentle, loving, polite, and super smart,” says his happy owner.
They enjoy lots of special times together at home, fun adventures, and trips that create wonderful memories and make them both really happy!
