A stray kitten with unusual eyes that look like those of a frog surprises the people who rescued him with how much he changes after getting help.

This little kitten with eyes that resemble a frog’s was rescued not long ago. Despite facing tough odds, he’s shown incredible strength and determination to survive. Say hello to Oomi, the miraculous kitty

About a month ago, a tiny 4-week-old kitten with huge eyes arrived at the ASPCA Kitten Nursery in New York City. She needed a lot of care and love. Cerena, one of the caregivers, shared, “She was left at my workplace and brought to me and my team at the kitten nursery.” The kitten’s large eyes reminded the caregivers of a frog’s eyes, likely due to an untreated bacterial infection. “When I first held her, she just wanted to cuddle and feel loved. After she got a bit better, my fiancé Anthony and I decided to foster her. We fell in love with her right away,” Cerena added.

“I made sure to cuddle with her a bit longer when giving her medication,” Cerena explained. “She just brings so much happiness and positivity with her. It was impossible not to love her.” The next day, Cerena decided to delay her adoption of this special little cat.

After various trips to the vet, they concluded that Oomi was in need of surgery to remove her eyes. But, she would have to wait to get bigger to have the surgery.
“She does not let life slow her down! She loves climbing whatever she can find.”

“One night, her eye burst, so we rushed her to the hospital. The vets decided to remove her eye earlier than planned.” Oomi’s owners were understandably worried, but surprisingly, the little tortoiseshell kitten stayed calm and purred as if nothing was wrong. This helped ease her owners’ nerves. After the surgery, tiny Oomi snuggled up to her mom for comfort. “As soon as I held her, she started purring. I knew she was strong enough to bounce back!”

Only a few days after the surgery, Oomi was already climbing around like normal. “Her doctor was amazed. They’ve never seen a kitten recover so fast after surgery! You wouldn’t even know she’s missing an eye,” Cerena exclaimed.

Oomi doesn’t feel pain or infection anymore! She’s starting a new life. “She’s got a big personality. Every morning, she wakes me up by nuzzling my neck and chin. She loves playing and cuddling with us when we’re playing games or watching TV.” “She gets super excited and chirps when we come home.”

Oomi always tags along with Cerena to the kitchen, hoping to snag a snack. “Apart from bumping into walls now and then, you wouldn’t guess she’s blind. She plays with her toys just like any cat with perfect vision!” The amazing kitty has already memorized her house layout and knows exactly where to go. It’s like she has a superpower!

Oomi might be a little thing, but her heart is the size of the whole world.
“Even the toughest of warriors sometimes need a favorite stuffed bunny to cuddle with.”

Now Oomi is loving her life. She keeps surprising her owners with how well she adapts. The couple officially adopted Oomi a week ago, making her a permanent part of their family. “I’ve been facing a lot of health issues and trying to recover from a bad car accident in July. Oomi has been a huge support. She’s always there to cheer me up and make me laugh,” Cerena shared. “She came into my life at just the right time when I needed her the most.”
