While walking along the street, a woman saw something really sad – a sick stray cat, all wet and covered in leaves, lying there on the road, unable to move.
The poor animal came out of the bushes, trying hard to find help. It was obvious it hadn’t eaten for a while because it was too weak to stand. Seeing it like that was really sad.
But even in that state, the kitty stayed calm, trusting the woman to take care of it. When she picked it up and put it in a box, the kitty looked at her with hopeful eyes. How could anyone leave such a lovely creature alone like that?
The cat was obviously very sick, but the vets had to do a lot of tests to figure out exactly what was wrong. They found out that the cat had serious inflammation and maggots.
After being left alone for who knows how long, barely hanging on to life, help finally came for this cat.
Even though it was tough, thankfully, the cat’s condition could still be treated. It needed a special surgery, which the cat bravely went through. After the surgery went well, the cat was allowed to go home and start getting better.
Even though she was still weak and needed time to recover, the cat couldn’t stand for very long. But with her big appetite, things were looking good for her future.
Datou, that’s what they named the kitty, started getting much better. She could walk now and started looking around slowly and carefully. Her curious and playful side started coming out.
Her fur, which used to be dirty and messy, now looked a lot nicer and healthier. She was becoming a beautiful fluffy cat with a good sense of style. Just like any other girl her age, she enjoyed playing with her mom’s makeup and jewelry, especially pearls.
Even though Datou is usually cuddly and loving, she’s not someone you want to upset. She knows how to stick up for herself and make her boundaries clear. As her owner says in the video:
“(Datou) likes to cuddle in my arms, but sometimes she can be a bit moody.”
When she’s not busy playing with her toys, Datou enjoys hanging out with her furry best friend, either relaxing or planning world domination.
Just one month after being rescued, Datou looked completely different. She went from being a sick and sad stray cat to becoming a beautiful fluffy kitty with a playful personality. Her happy energy makes everyone around her smile.
Datou is one cute and fluffy cat, showing strength and determination. She’s a perfect example that being strong doesn’t always mean being tough.
