Perry Farrell, 65, got even more upset and tried to hit Dave Navarro, 57, but ended up hitting Dave’s guitar instead.

A crew member came out to calm Perry down, which only made him more upset. Two more people came to help, and Perry tried to fight them off.

Meanwhile, Dave put his guitar down, talked to a security guard, and then walked away from the stage.

Jane’s Addiction didn’t respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

However, Etty Farrell shared on Instagram that there had been ongoing tension in the band before the fight. She explained that Perry Farrell was frustrated because he felt the stage volume was too loud and it was drowning out his voice. He had been dealing with tinnitus and a sore throat, and when people in the front row complained about not being able to hear him, Perry lost his temper.

Perry’s wife, Etty Farrell, uploaded footage from the fight on Saturday and gave her account of what happened.

Etty explained that the fight happened after Jane’s Addiction started their song “Ocean” before Perry Farrell was ready and had done the count-off. The stage volume was so loud that Perry couldn’t hear anything over the noise, and by the end of the song, he was screaming just to be heard.

She also mentioned that there was a fight backstage, where bassist Eric Avery put Perry in a headlock and punched him in the stomach three times. Etty said Perry became very upset and emotional after the fight, breaking down and crying for 30 minutes.

Fans were worried after Etty’s comments, with one person asking her to get Perry help and stop “enabling” him.

The fan said it’s obvious that Perry is struggling and urged Etty to stop trying to downplay the situation. They added that while it’s not everyone’s business to know exactly what’s wrong with Perry, something is clearly wrong. They also mentioned that it’s not only Etty’s job to fix or save him, but she shouldn’t be blocking his path to getting better.
