Actress Cameron Diaz, who is 51, and her husband, musician Benji Madden, 45, welcomed their second child together last Friday. They announced the birth of their son, Cardinal, on Instagram using a photo of artwork that said, “A little bird whispered to me.” This surprised many because they hadn’t shared they were expecting. Madden wrote in the caption, “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!”

“We won’t be sharing any pictures for the kids’ safety and privacy, but he’s really cute,” the caption continued. “We feel so blessed and grateful. Sending lots of love from our family to yours. Best wishes and good afternoon!”
The couple is known for keeping their lives very private. They got married in 2015 and welcomed their daughter Raddix in 2019. Before she was born, they kept quiet about her arrival and only announced it on social media after she was born.
“We are so happy, blessed, and grateful to start this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” Cameron Diaz wrote in the birth announcement for their daughter. “She has immediately stolen our hearts and completed our family.”

A source close to the couple revealed that they faced challenges to have their daughter. “They went through a lot to reach this moment,” the source said. “Cameron feels this baby is truly a miracle.” The source also shared that Raddix was born through surrogacy, a topic the couple has never publicly discussed.
