Is this the shortest engagement ever?
On the finale of “The Bachelorette,” 26-year-old Jenn Tran accepted an engagement proposal from Devin Strader, 28, who owns a freight company.
Strader asked Tran, who was wearing a white dress, if she would marry him. He gave her a stunning engagement ring with a 3-carat oval diamond set in yellow gold.
Although Devin Strader carefully chose a beautiful engagement ring for Jenn Tran, considering her preference for gold, their relationship didn’t last.
Before the proposal aired on TV, Tran revealed during the “After the Final Rose” special that she and Strader had already broken up.
Jenn Tran said that after she and Devin Strader left Hawaii, things started to go wrong. She felt like she was no longer a priority for him and didn’t understand why he started to distance himself.
Jenn Tran shared that just before a planned couple’s visit last month, Devin Strader called her and ended their engagement. The phone call lasted about 15 minutes, during which he told her that he no longer loved her and didn’t feel the same way.
Jenn Tran said that Devin Strader regretted getting engaged. She even suggested that they could just date without the pressure of marriage, but they ended up breaking up and hadn’t seen each other until the finale.
Tran also criticized Strader’s social media activity after their breakup. During the “After the Final Rose” reunion, she confronted him about the women he followed on Instagram, including former “Bachelor” star Maria Georgas.
Luckily, Jenn Tran’s future is looking positive.
It was announced that she will be a contestant on Season 33 of “Dancing With the Stars,” joining stars like Tori Spelling and Anna Delvey.
