For the first time in 15 years, none of the billionaires under 30 listed by Forbes made their money on their own.

They have lots of money in their bank accounts, but it mostly comes from their families. This year, none of the young billionaires listed by Forbes earned their wealth themselves. In fact, for the first time since 2009, none of them made their own massive fortune. Out of the 25 youngest billionaires in the world, 18 inherited their wealth.

The title of youngest billionaire in the world goes to 19-year-old Livia Voigt — who has a minority stake in her late grandfather’s company WEG.

The reason for this statistic is because some of the people who were self-made billionaires in the past are getting older and are now in their 30s. And there aren’t new people in the same situation replacing them, according to a report by the business magazine titled “…” “World’s Youngest Billionaires 2024.”

The big inheritances are the beginning of what the magazine calls “a long-awaited passing down of wealth through generations.” Forbes reported that every year, trillions of dollars are expected to be passed on as wealthy older people die and leave their money to their children and grandchildren.

The youngest billionaire in the world is 19-year-old Livia Voigt from Brazil. She’s a college student and she’s worth 1.1 billion dollars. She owns a small part of her grandfather’s company called WEG, which makes electrical equipment. Her older sister, Dora, who is 26 years old, is also on the list of billionaires.

Leonardo Maria del Vecchio, 28, reportedly worth $4.7 billion, inherited his wealth after the death of his father, Leonardo Del Vecchio.

There are two brothers from Ireland in their twenties who are billionaires. Their names are Zahan and Firoz Mistry. They’re estimated to each have a shocking $4.9 billion. Zahan is 25 years old and Firoz is 27. Their dad was Cyrus Mistry, who used to lead India’s biggest company group, Tata Group. When their grandpa passed away in 2022, they got a small part of the company.

In 2022, a 19-year-old named Clemente Del Vecchio from Italy got a part of a company called EssilorLuxottica. It’s an Italian-French company that makes Ray-Ban sunglasses. He got this when his dad, Leonardo Del Vecchio, passed away. Now, he and his brothers Leonardo Maria, who is 28, and Luca, who is 22, together have a net worth of $4.7 billion.

Sophie Luise Fielmann, who is 29 years old, inherited her dad’s money when he passed away in January. Her dad, Günther Fielmann, was the owner of Fielmann AG, a company that makes eyewear in Germany. Now, Sophie is worth $2.7 billion because of that inheritance.
