Patrick Duffy, who played Bobby Ewing on the popular TV show Dallas, has changed a lot and seems to have aged quickly over the past year. Even though it’s been more than 25 years since the last episode of Dallas, Patrick Duffy still holds a special place in fans’ hearts.
Every time people see him, they respond warmly. The audience of the American show liked him not just for his good looks, but also for his kind and gentle nature.
Patrick Duffy, known as a 1980s sex symbol, recently attended the premiere of the film Warning Shot at a theater in Beverly Hills. He was joined by Linda Gray, 77, his co-star from Dallas who played Sue Ellen.
The 69-year-old actor clearly shows the pain he’s felt since his wife passed away a year ago. Patrick Duffy has lost a lot of weight and looks significantly older now.
Fans were surprised by how the actor looked, but Patrick Duffy greeted them with a smile and signed autographs, showing that his friendly nature hasn’t changed.
Patrick Duffy had been married to Carlyn Rosser, a former dancer ten years older than him, since their wedding in 1974. They had two children, Padraig Terence and Connor Frederick, and four grandchildren.
There have been rumors in the news that his wife is very ill, but Patrick has stayed quiet and has taken a break from the public eye.
It has since come to light that Carlyn Rosser passed away unexpectedly in early 2017 and was quietly buried by her family. A few months later, Patrick Duffy shared his pain with his Twitter followers:
“Six months ago today, my heart stopped. She wanted me to keep going, so she made sure I did. We’ll be together forever in spirit.”
He also thanked people for their kindness, noting that he had overcome skin cancer just four years before this tragedy.
While working on the TV show Dallas, Patrick Duffy found out that his parents, Marie and Terence Duffy, had been murdered in 1986 at the Montana bar they owned.
Two young men, Kenneth Miller and Sean Wentz, were identified as the ones who committed the armed robbery and were quickly caught. They were each sentenced to 180 years in prison. However, after Wentz confessed to being the shooter, Miller was released the following year.
