In a new Vogue documentary, Victoria Beckham shares a sweet memory of her first date with her husband, David.

Victoria Beckham shared that her husband David bought a new Prada suit for their first date just to impress her after she mentioned she liked the brand.

In the new Disney+ documentary In Vogue: The 90s, the fashion designer, 50, talked about the start of their relationship and her love for designer clothes like Versace, Prada, and Gucci. She noted that these brands really understood the influence of celebrity at the time.

Victoria Beckham said that when she first met David in 1997, he knew she was a Spice Girl who loved designer clothes.

She mentioned in the documentary that after going to a few football matches and making an effort to spend time with him—though she joked he might call it stalking—they finally went on a date.

Victoria Beckham shared that when David was unsure what to wear for their first date, he bought a full Prada outfit just to impress her. She laughed and said it worked because it was Prada.

In the same documentary, Victoria also talked about how she was “completely obsessed” with supermodel Linda Evangelista. She went to the same salon Linda used and copied her haircut because she admired her so much.

Victoria Beckham shared that Linda Evangelista was the inspiration behind her decision to cut and dye her hair. She went to Linda’s hairdresser in New York and asked for a similar style, saying, “I was channeling my inner Linda.”

In the same documentary series, supermodel Kate Moss talked about the harsh criticism she faced from concerned mothers. Kate, who was a major fashion icon in the ’90s, said people would stop her on the street and accuse her of promoting eating disorders.

The former Spice Girl told the camera: ‘So, after me going to a couple of football matches and I would say, you know, me sort of like, pursuing him, he’d probably say me stalking him, we arranged to go out on a date together’

She said: ‘[Linda] was the reason why I cut my hair, the reason why I dyed my hair lots of different colours. I was in New York, and I went to Garren, who was Linda’s hairdresser.’
In the revealing six-part series, Kate Moss, 50, opened up about the abuse she received by worried mothers over their daughters’ health (pictured in June 2024)

In the Disney+ documentary, Kate Moss talked about how parents would approach her and say things like, “My daughter’s anorexic.” She found it upsetting and thought it was because people weren’t used to seeing someone as skinny as her. She felt that if her body shape had been different, it might not have been such a big deal.

The documentary also features interviews with former Vogue editors like Edward Enninful, and celebrities including Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Designer Stella McCartney shared that being the daughter of Beatles star Paul McCartney gave her an edge. She mentioned that while other students at her fashion school were picking their models from friends, her “mates” included supermodels.
