According to the Queensland Police, Heidi, a fishing dog, was discovered floating in Moreton Bay, Australia, next to a tackle box, a wet suit, and other items from a capsized boat on Thursday morning around 6 a.m.
A bystander noticed Heidi struggling to swim towards the shore, alongside a box of cufflinks and a water suit in the distance. Without hesitation, the man rushed to the rescue, pulling the dog out of the water and bringing her to the shore. He promptly sought assistance from the coast guard, providing details of the incident.
Upon arrival, the rescue team discovered that the boat had overturned. Throughout the rescue operation, Heidi remained visibly distressed, continuously whining and attempting to re-enter the water.
