Mariska Hargitay pays tribute to her mom, Jayne Mansfield, on her 90th birthday: a beautiful way to remember her.

To remember what would have been Jayne Mansfield’s 90th birthday, Mariska Hargitay shared a special message and photo on Instagram. She said, “Mom, happy birthday. We love and miss you more every day.” She also shared memories with her mom in a short video on her Instagram Story.

Jayne Mansfield, originally named Vera Jayne Palmer, was a famous actress known for her beauty during the 1950s and 1960s. People often compared her to Marilyn Monroe because of her blonde bombshell image.

She starred in movies like “The Girl Can’t Help It,” “Promises! Promises!,” and “The Sheriff of a Fractured Jaw.” She also became a Playboy Playmate, which got her a lot of attention.

Sadly, Jayne Mansfield died young in a car accident in 1967 when she was 34 years old. Her daughter Mariska, who was just three at the time, was in the car but thankfully wasn’t hurt. The accident also took the lives of Jayne’s friend and lawyer Sam Brody and their driver Ronnie Harrison.

Mariska looked back on her childhood, which was marked by sadness and difficult times. She realized that those tough experiences taught her important lessons about life and how unpredictable it can be. Even though it was hard, she found strength in those experiences and learned to trust again.

“Going through tough times when I was young taught me a lot,” she said. “It was hard, but it helped me become stronger and learn to trust people again.”

On what would have been her mother Jayne’s birthday, Mariska sends her love and warm wishes up to heaven.
