Morgan Freeman was seen wearing a glove on his left hand at the Oscars. The reason behind it is really sad.

The movie “Everything Everywhere All At Once” won a lot of awards at the ceremony. But besides that, actors like Brendan Fraser, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michelle Yeoh, and Ke Huy Quan also had personal successes. However, amidst all the excitement and trophies, something happened with Morgan Freeman that some people might have missed at the 95th Academy Awards. Luckily, some fans noticed and talked about it a lot on social media.

Freeman went on stage with actress Margot Robbie to celebrate Warner Brothers’ 100th anniversary. But he wore a long black glove on his left hand. The reason for this choice was actually really sad…

Morgan Freeman is a very famous actor known by almost everyone. So, when he showed up at this year’s Oscars wearing a black glove, fans were curious. Was it just a fashion choice? Or maybe a reference to a character he played before? Well, it turns out, there’s a sadder reason behind it.

It’s said that Freeman, who is 85 years old, has had to wear the glove since 2008. This is because he was in a bad car accident in Mississippi.

The actor from “Se7en” was driving home late one night when his car suddenly went off the road. It flipped several times before finally stopping in a ditch.

Paramedics got there fast, but they had to use special tools to get the actor out of his car. Freeman was awake the whole time and even joked with the people helping him.

The actor, who was 71 years old at the time, got hurt pretty badly. He had to be flown to a hospital in Memphis, which was more than 100 miles away from where the crash happened.

Freeman had many broken bones and needed a long surgery, lasting four hours, to fix his left arm. Sadly, the accident caused permanent nerve damage and a lot of pain in his shoulder. Since then, he hasn’t been able to move his arm properly. It swells up, so he wears a special glove to help with the pain and swelling.

In 2010, which was two years after the accident, Freeman talked to People magazine. He said he still hadn’t gotten better from his injury. “If you don’t move your hand, it will swell up,” he explained. “Did you know you move your hand about a million times a day?”
