prince William talked about the playful interactions between his two youngest children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, with his wife, Princess Kate Middleton.
While he was walking around Llanelli, South Wales, Prince William, who is 42, received gifts from a 10-year-old named Ruby Davies. She gave him a book of postcards from students at Swiss Valley Community Primary School and friendship bracelets for his children: Prince George, 10, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6.
“Thank you so much, Ruby. They’re going to love those. You’ll see them out and about,” William said on Tuesday, September 9. He then added, “I’ll keep them away from Louis because he’ll try to take all of his sister’s stuff.”
The day before, William and Kate shared rare video footage of their family. In the video, which was posted on social media, they were seen playing cards and having a picnic in a park with their three kids. They also mentioned that Kate had finished her preventive chemotherapy treatments.
Kate said on Monday, September 9, that she is very relieved to have finished her chemotherapy treatment now that summer is ending. She shared that the past nine months have been very difficult for their family. She noted how quickly life can change and how they’ve had to find their way through the challenges they’ve faced.
William and Kate have shared moments from their family life over the years. In 2021, William talked on the Apple Fitness+ podcast about a time when Charlotte was running around the kitchen in her ballet outfits, with Louis trying to copy her. He described it as a joyful moment where the kids enjoyed dancing, playing, and singing.
Royal expert Christopher Anderson told Us Weekly that the children help Kate with cooking. According to Anderson, who wrote books about William and Kate and Princess Diana, the kids assist with making pasta and homemade pizzas.
He also mentioned that each child has chores, which Kate keeps track of because she is very organized. They make their beds every morning and help with the dishes after each meal. They get gold stars as rewards for their efforts.
Even though the family has royal titles, expert Robert Jobson said they are quite refreshing. He added that, at their core, they are just like any normal family.
