Rachel Zoe and her husband, Rodger Berman, are separating after 26 years of marriage.
Rachel announced on Instagram that they made the decision to end their marriage after being together for 33 years. She shared that they’re proud of their family and the memories they’ve made, and their main focus will always be their children.
Rachel Zoe said they’re committed to co-parenting their sons and working together on their shared businesses. She asked for privacy for her family and ended the statement with “with love and gratitude — Rachel & Rodger.”
Rachel and Rodger met in 1991 while they were students at George Washington University and got married in 1998.
Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman, who is 55, have two sons: 13-year-old Skyler and 11-year-old Kaius.
Before announcing their separation, Rachel posted a video on Instagram Story of herself getting a tan. She then went for a walk with her sons while they rode their scooter and bike. Later, she had a girls’ night out at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.
The last time Rachel Zoe posted a photo with her estranged husband was on Father’s Day, where she called him “one of the best.” She captioned the photo of him with their sons, saying, “Our boys are the luckiest and we are so grateful for you.”
In April, Rachel also shared photos from her wedding after talking about the special day on her podcast, “Climbing in Heels.”
In a 2017 interview with Well + Good, Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman talked about their long-term relationship. Rachel mentioned that small gestures of love were important to her, while Rodger said that getting Starbucks in the morning was a “true act of love.” Rachel agreed, saying, “It’s the little things,” but also added that she loves jewelry.
The former couple shared that not holding onto anger has helped them stay “sane” with each other.
Rachel Zoe said they always talk things out and don’t let issues linger. She added that they recover from disagreements quickly, often in just three to five minutes, and then move on. She mentioned that this quick recovery comes from being together for so long.
