In an interview, Claudette said, “She’s trying her best to get better. She’s really strong.” She also mentioned that not much is known about the condition, even within their family. Claudette, who is older than Celine, also talked about how they can’t do much to ease the pain Celine is feeling.
Claudette, who is 74 years old, talked about the symptoms her sister is going through. She said, “She has spasms that she can’t control. You know when people suddenly wake up because of a leg or calf cramp? It’s like that, but in all her muscles.”
Dion shared her diagnosis last year in December 2022. She posted a video on social media where she got emotional, telling her fans about having Stiff Person Syndrome. She also said her tour was postponed indefinitely.
She mentioned that the condition was also affecting her vocal cords, making it hard for her to sing. That’s why she decided to pause her Courage world tour until she felt well enough to perform again.
The pop star has been working with a team of doctors and a sports-medicine therapist to get her strength back. She’s living at home with her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson. These boys are from her late husband, René Angelil, who passed away in January 2016 at 73 years old.
Back in 2008, the couple bought a big piece of land, about five acres. Two years later, they started building their dream home right there from the ground up.
Their house was inspired by the Bahamas. It had 13 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. Plus, there were lots of cool water features like two pools, slides, and even a lazy river.
The singer sold her dream home to move to Las Vegas, where she had a long-term deal for live performances starting in 2005. She thought this move would help her family stay close together.
Her original home, the one she built, stayed on the market for a long time before she finally sold it four years later for $38.5 million. This sale happened just a year after her husband passed away.
In April 2023, she also sold a property in Summerlin, Las Vegas, making $30 million on the sale. Then, in 2017, she bought a newly built mansion for $9.2 million.

However, Celine is now living in a smaller 1.5-acre home in Las Vegas, located in Henderson, Nevada. She bought it in 2003 with her husband for around $1.2 million. After moving in, she renovated the home.
The house sits on a big piece of land, about an acre, and it’s over 8,100 square feet big. Inside, there are four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and three fireplaces.
During the pandemic, Celine would often make videos from her kitchen and ask her followers to stay home. Her kitchen had large shelves, and these videos gave a peek into what it looked like.
The kitchen had cabinets with a shiny white finish and stainless-steel fittings. Another room in the house had a white theme with white leather chairs and a shiny white table. There were also curtains in white. To make the space feel cozy, Celine added lots of candles.
The house has a separate guest house that’s about 2,000 square feet big. It has a bedroom and a bathroom. Outside, there’s a basketball court and a really nice pool. Now, the whole property is worth about $4.5 million.
