Terry Bradshaw has earned a lot of money, but there’s one thing that shows he never let fame change who he was.

I often wonder why some people change when they become famous while others don’t.

But with Terry Bradshaw, there’s no need to wonder. He’s real, really funny, and most importantly, he’s never forgotten where he came from.

He’s one of the top five celebrities I’d love to spend time with, in my opinion. He seems to enjoy being around people and just living life because he’s funny and laughs a lot.

He comes across as a good guy who happens to be a football legend and really rich.

That’s why it’s surprising to learn that he’s faced a struggle.

Terry was a student at Woodlawn High School where he became a star player on the football team, the Woodlawn Knights. In 1965, he led his team to the AAA state championship game, although they didn’t win. Despite this, Terry had an amazing season, breaking the state record with 22 touchdown passes.

Terry gained even more attention when he set a new national record for throwing the javelin 245 feet while still in high school. Because of this, he was featured in Sports Illustrated, a famous sports magazine, in an article about talented athletes from Louisiana.

After finishing high school, Bradshaw went to Louisiana Tech University. He was already seen as the best college football player in the country. Bradshaw was already famous when he started at Tech in 1966, but it was at LSU where he proved himself even more as a true superstar.

By the time Bradshaw finished college, he was already a star. He became a legend at LSU and broke all the passing records at Louisiana Tech. He was even put into the first group of athletes in the Louisiana Tech sports hall of fame.

But choosing to go to LSU wasn’t an easy decision for Terry. At the time, LSU wasn’t even in Division I.

Bradshaw said, “I didn’t want to go to LSU. They didn’t throw the football much back then. Do they throw it now? But they never did before. Actually, I’ve always said they never had a great quarterback. Even with Bert Jones, they didn’t use him well.”

Now, let’s talk about the touching story we mentioned earlier.

This story really shows Terry Bradshaw’s true character. It happened in Gainseville, Texas, in November 2020. A guy was having trouble with his car battery.

Terry saw the guy struggling and went over to help. The guy didn’t know who Terry was, just that someone was trying to help him.

Terry got out some jumper cables and helped the guy start his car. When the car finally started, Terry cheered like he’d scored a touchdown.

After the guy got help, he went into a nearby store. It was only then that he realized he’d been helped by a four-time Super Bowl champion.

Cindy Hurt Hammer took a picture of the moment for NBC 5. She said, “He had no idea who was helping him until he walked into the store and we told him.”
