Both of these kittens are a bit unsteady on their feet, but they’re really lively. They stick together and won’t go anywhere without each other.
Livvy, a calico, and Huxley, a tabby, came to their foster home with their brothers and sisters, hoping for a better life. They were born with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), which makes it hard for them to balance and coordinate their movements. Kris Kaiser, who knows a lot about taking care of kittens with this condition, took care of them with lots of love and special attention.
Even though Livvy and Huxley were smaller than other kittens, they were determined to live. They never stopped eating and worked really hard to grow big and strong.
They were born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological disorder
With good food and lots of care, Livvy and Huxley started getting stronger and had more energy to run around and play. Even though they wobbled a bit because of their condition, it didn’t stop them from having fun.
Kris said, “Livvy and Huxley are like any other playful and happy young kittens. They just move a bit differently because of CH. They can get around fine, but they do fall down sometimes.”
Huxley likes to make “biscuits” in the air
“Usually, young kittens get better as they grow up and their muscles get stronger. They learn to adjust and do things differently,” Kris explained.
Livvy and her brother like being around people. They’ll come looking for attention, play with wand toys, and love cuddling. Kris said, “Most CH cats want the same things as other cats and have the same needs. They just move a bit differently.”
Livvy has a big personality
Livvy and Huxley are like two peas in a pod. Their friendship has grown even stronger since their siblings found homes. They stick together everywhere, play with the same toys, and snuggle together when they sleep.
They’re really good at using the litter box, as long as it’s easy for them to get to.
They appreciate stairs and ramps to help them get to the places they desire. With carpet or sturdy rugs, they can zoom through the house and get around much easier.
When Livvy and Huxley get tired, they cuddle up together in a comfy bed and start kneading happily. Kris says, “They’re playful kittens who don’t realize they’re different.”
They share an adorable bond
Huxley is the wobbliest and most cuddly among his siblings. He’s really determined and doesn’t let his wobbliness stop him. If he falls while playing, he quickly gets back up and keeps going.
He and his sister have a special bond that’s really heartwarming.
Livvy and Huxley are always up to something, playing and learning new things together. They help each other stay active and burn off energy.
“Playing and moving around helps them get stronger. It’s like their wobbliness gets better as they build more muscle and can stand up straighter,” Kris explained.
“Livvy and Huxley love playing and exploring with me at the office. It helps them feel brave, confident, and friendly. They enjoy being around people and are excited to find a forever home where they’ll be loved.”
“The person who is lucky enough to adopt these two, is going to have so much love in their life. Livvy and Huxley are one sweet and adorable duo.”
