Say hello to Duckphone! He’s a lovely rescue cat who’s looking for a new home. Duckphone is full of personality, and he’s really big-hearted. But that’s not all that’s big about him. He’s got these incredibly cute cheeks that are just too big for his face!
Duckphone is a 2-year-old cat who ended up at the Cleveland Animal Protective League’s shelter because he was found as a stray. Right away, the people taking care of him noticed he wasn’t like other cats.
“I think when people see his cute and special face, their first reaction is, ‘Wow, look at those cheeks!'” said Hannah MacIntyre, who works on social media at the shelter. “Duckphone is definitely catching everyone’s attention.”
Even though Duckphone spent some time as a stray, he’s not just about his big cheeks. He’s really sweet too. “He’s super friendly,” MacIntyre said. “He loves people and will come to you for cuddles and love.”
Who could say no to that face?
Duckphone got his name from a strange duck-shaped phone seen on a TV show by one of the shelter’s volunteers. “We name so many animals that sometimes we just pick something random,” MacIntyre explained. Even though a checkup showed that Duckphone has feline immunodeficiency virus, it’s not stopping him from being happy and playful.
βHe is a happy and otherwise healthy kitty!β MacIntyre added.
Luckily, Duckphone is safe and being taken care of at the shelter. But there’s something missing in his life β a loving home where he can stay forever, along with his big cheeks.
