This kitty had a head that always tilted to one side, which made life hard for her. But now, she acts like she can beat anything that comes her way.

A kitten who always tilts her head had a tough start. But now, she acts like she can handle anything life throws at her.

When Paisley, a gray kitten, was taken to the local animal shelter, she was very skinny and had a serious head tilt. Nikki Martinez, who rescues animals in Nevada, saw that Paisley urgently needed help. With the help of Hearts Alive Village, Nikki took Paisley from the shelter and started fostering her at her own home.

Because of her tilted head, Paisley had to turn around to see Nikki when they first met. She really liked Nikki’s voice and was always hungry for food.

Nikki said to Love Meow, “She had a really bad cold and was very skinny. But once I brought her home, I knew she’d be alright. She was a tough little girl, full of energy even though she was sick and skinny.”

While Nikki took care of Paisley’s sickness and helped her get better, all Paisley cared about was food. Even though she was thin, she ate a lot and quickly, like she had a bottomless stomach, gobbling up every last bit of food.

An hour after eating, she went up to her foster mom, asking for more food with her tilted head, sad eyes, and a little meow that sounded like she was begging.

After a few days of being looked after with lots of love, Paisley started to run around happily. She bounced around, playing and jumping without stopping. She played with toys enthusiastically and made the most adorable little meows that could make anyone’s heart melt.

“I’ve taken care of lots of kittens in the past 13 years, but I’ve never had one like Paisley who makes little chirping sounds all the time.”

Her head tilt probably happened because of an infection she had before. “The vet said her brain adjusts so she doesn’t see things upside down. She acts just like any other cat, just with a tilted head.”

Paisley had lots of different toys in her special kitty area and she was always busy playing with them. “I could hear her playing with toys all day long. She’s full of energy and likes every toy she finds.”

Her endless energy and fun games were like a show for the other cats in the house.

“She’s so friendly, she likes cats, dogs, people… everyone.”

“My favorite thing is how she jumps over the little gate like she has springs in her legs. You’ll always have fun listening to her cute little chirps while she jumps around and plays in the house.”

Paisley went from being 1.8 pounds to over four pounds in just two months, and she looked amazing.

“She’s a healthy, lively little girl with a tilted head that doesn’t bother her at all. It’s actually getting better, and the vet said it might keep getting better as time goes on. I think it just makes her even more charming.”

When Paisley was all set to find her permanent home, the perfect family came to meet her.

They made a fun play area in their house and got lots of toys ready for her. After napping most of the trip, Paisley was all set to play the moment she walked into her new home.

She’s fitting in really well with her new family and has discovered her favorite spot to sunbathe and watch the world go by from the window.

She eats as much as she wants, plays until she’s tired, and probably dreams about treats while she takes naps.

Paisley has been a ray of sunshine even when she was sick. She lives each day like a champion with a joyful spirit and a belief that she can conquer anything.
