What happened to 24-year-old US Olympic gymnast Jade Carey, who couldn’t eat before competing?

Olympic gymnast Jade Carey, 24, has been feeling unwell during the Paris Olympics. She couldn’t eat anything before competing and talked about her health. Her performance, which had some issues, has worried many people.

Jade Carey has had a tough time at the Paris Olympics. She recently spoke openly about her health problems and how they’ve affected her gymnastics. A video of one of her performances has been shared widely, causing concern for her.

This year’s Olympics are very different for 24-year-old Jade Carey compared to when she won a gold medal in floor exercise at the Tokyo 2020 Games three years ago.

After the first day of women’s competition on July 28, Carey told Olympics.com, “I haven’t been feeling well the past few days and haven’t been able to eat anything.”

Carey, who was the only US team member to talk to the press, said, “I had no energy today and felt confused.”

She added that she wanted to let people know that her issues were health-related, not just nerves about competing.

A TikTok video of Carey’s performance shows her doing somersaults, forward flips, and back flips on the competition floor.

While some might be disappointed that Carey will only compete in the vault event, it’s good to know she’s getting better. Her mom, Danielle Greenberg, shared with “Today” on July 29 that her daughter is improving.

“She’s doing much better today. She’s trying to stay hydrated, eat some food, and get ready,” Greenberg said. We wish Carey a speedy recovery and the best of luck as she competes and represents her country.
